The Central Training & Placement Office (CTPO) of Gurugram University serves as a dedicated institutional body committed to facilitating internships, placements, and overall career advancement opportunities for students across all academic disciplines. The Office plays a vital role in strengthening industry-academia collaboration and ensuring that students are equipped with the professional competencies required in a competitive and evolving employment landscape.

The CTPO conducts structured mock interviews, group discussions, aptitude assessments, and corporate readiness programmes. It also organizes expert lectures, workshops, and industrial visits to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. Through systematic coordination with corporate organizations and industry bodies, the Office strives to enhance employability, professional confidence, and practical exposure among students.

Collaboration Initiated

During the reporting period, the Central Training & Placement Office (CTPO) organized a comprehensive series of structured training programmes and skill development initiatives in collaboration with reputed industry bodies and corporate partners. These initiatives were conducted within the University premises to ensure accessibility and active student participation.

The major collaborating organizations included NASSCOM (Future Prime Skills), Mahindra Pride Classroom, TCS iON, Cisco, Salesforce (Agentforce), and IBM under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. More than 1,000 students actively participated in various training modules designed to enhance employability skills, communication abilities, technical competencies, and digital proficiency. The programmes were structured to align academic learning with industry expectations and contemporary corporate practices.

With regard to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the initiative for structured collaboration has been formally initiated during the reporting period, and the necessary procedural formalities have commenced. The proposed engagement is intended to facilitate industry-led training sessions within the University premises in the forthcoming phase, thereby further strengthening practical exposure and corporate orientation for students.

Collectively, these initiatives have significantly contributed to improving students’ professional readiness, adaptability, and career preparedness.

During the year under review, the Central Training & Placement Office (CTPO) recorded substantial progress in placement outcomes, reflecting the impact of sustained training efforts and strengthened corporate engagement. More than 130 students secured placements across diverse sectors, demonstrating enhanced employability and industry alignment.

Prominent recruiting organizations included Cache Digitech, Elite Safety Sciences, L.S. In addition to final placements, the CTPO ensured that all eligible students successfully completed their mandatory internships in accordance with the curriculum requirements of their respective academic programmes. Structured coordination with industry partners facilitated meaningful internship opportunities, enabling students to gain hands-on experience and practical exposure relevant to their fields of study.

The CTPO also extended guidance and mentorship support to students aspiring for higher education in reputed national and international institutions, preparation for competitive examinations, and entrepreneurial ventures. Counseling sessions, career guidance interactions, and mentorship initiatives were conducted to assist students in identifying suitable career pathways.

These collective efforts reflect the University’s commitment to comprehensive career development encompassing employment, higher education, competitive readiness, and entrepreneurship.
