About Department

The Department of Media Studies, Gurugram University is a vibrant and dynamic hub for creativity and innovation. Our commitment to excellence in Film Making, Public Relations, Journalism, Animation and Multimedia sets us apart as leaders in the field. Since our inception in 2019, we have been dedicated to nurturing the talents and ambitions of aspiring media professionals.

The Department of Media Studies offers a range of courses to students with the aim to make them a dynamic and responsible media person of the future. It focuses on providing practical understanding of mass communication and the media industry with a strong academic base. Our well-equipped media lab provides an opportunity to the students to work on their skills of news and film making. Department has an animation and editing lab along with a theatre room and television studio where students learn studio technique, record interviews and make news bulletins. We frequently invite prominent journalists, media persons and animators to interact with our students to give them a practical exposure of the media industry.

The Department of Media Studies is providing the courses of B.Sc. Animation & Multimedia, MA in Mass Communication (5-year integrated course), MAMC (Specialization in Corporate Communication/Film Making) and M.A. (Advertising & Public Relation).
