About Department
The Department of Chemistry was established in 2020 with the intake of 20
students and from the next session onwards i.e. from 2021-2022, the intake was increased
from 20 to 40 students with specialization in three branches i.e. Organic/Physical/Inorganic
chemistry.
It comprises of highly competent & experienced faculty members in the respective
fields. The department has well equipped laboratories, library & Lecture theatres with
projectors etc.
The department organizes seminars & invited talks/guest lecturers and conferences
time to time by eminent professors from various universities/Research institutes and
arranges educational tours/trips to the students as and when required. Gurugram University
has placement cell which is actively involved in the recruitments. After the completion of
the course, the students become eligible to get job in various fields like: R & D, Chemical
industries, Petroleum Industries, Pharmaceutical industries, Food & beverages and
Cosmetics etc.

- To impart knowledge and skills in the area of chemistry, to promote excellence and
innovation, instil curiosity and ignite interest in relevant areas to inspire young minds
to make significant contributions for the betterment of mankind.
- To develop a department that can effectively harness its strength to create an
academically inspiring atmosphere by inculcating students with cultural and ethical
values.
Mission
- To promote, inspire and nurture the fundamentals of chemistry through courses
offered to the students.
- To provide high quality and innovative education with emphasis on both theory and
practical training for transformation of young budding chemists into productive
scientists, excellent teachers, entrepreneurs and creative independent researchers.
- To support inter disciplinary research with focus on solving problems of global
significance by working jointly with other universities and research Institutes.
