About Department

The Department of Chemistry was established in 2020 with the intake of 20 students and from the next session onwards i.e. from 2021-2022, the intake was increased from 20 to 40 students with specialization in three branches i.e. Organic/Physical/Inorganic chemistry.

It comprises of highly competent & experienced faculty members in the respective fields. The department has well equipped laboratories, library & Lecture theatres with projectors etc.

The department organizes seminars & invited talks/guest lecturers and conferences time to time by eminent professors from various universities/Research institutes and arranges educational tours/trips to the students as and when required. Gurugram University has placement cell which is actively involved in the recruitments. After the completion of the course, the students become eligible to get job in various fields like: R & D, Chemical industries, Petroleum Industries, Pharmaceutical industries, Food & beverages and Cosmetics etc.

Eligibility Criteria Eligibility Criteria: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry/ B.Sc. (Pass) with Chemistry as one of the main subjects with atleast 50% marks (47.5% marks for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only) in aggregate or any other examination recognized by State University of Haryana as equivalent thereto.
Admission Criteria Admission Criteria: Seat will be offered on Merit basis via different rounds of counselling, preference will be given to CUET (PG) passed candidate. Furthermore, in case of vacancy there will be open counselling.
