About Department

Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Gurugram University offers four years undergraduate course i.e., B. Pharmacy since 2018 and post graduate course i.e., M. Pharmacy in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutics since 2019, 2020 and 2023, respectively. The department maintains an adequate student to teacher ratio required for efficient learning. The department maintains and still developing laboratories required for practical subjects and hands on training about the experimental and evidence-based teaching. The department has well qualified teachers having considerable teaching and/or research experience in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. Students are learning about essential and advanced laboratory practices, statistical and methodological considerations for study of various pharmaceutical entities having medicinal and drug discovery, drug formulation and evaluation. The department exhibits the maintenance of highest ethical and scientific conduct in the areas of pharmaceutical sciences and propagate through learning. Classroom teaching is supplemented by demonstrations and guest lectures by eminent and well qualified scholars on the area. On site visits can be arranged as per need and interest of the students. The department has good classrooms with projectors, marker boards, white boards etc. for good illustrative teaching and the students are provided with text and reference books by the University library.

Eligibility Criteria 10+2 Examination of Board of School Education, Haryana or of any other Board recognized as equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 50% (47.5% in case of SC/ST/ Divyang candidates of Haryana) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM/ PCB), with pass in English as one of the main subject. In case of P.C.M.B the aggregate of P.C.M or P.C.B whichever is higher will be considered. The candidate must have attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the Course.

In case GPAT qualified students are not available and the seats remain vacant then the seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of B.Pharm.
