About Department

The Department of Social Work started in the year 2021 and presently offers Master in Social Work (MSW) programme (with specialisation in Labour Welfare and Human Resource Management). The MSW programme offered by the university includes courses on topics such as human behaviour and the social environment, social welfare policy and services, social work practice, and research methods. Students of the department are also provided ample opportunity to gain hands-on experience through field placements, where they work with organizations and communities under the supervision of faculty and professionals from the field of social work. In addition to educating students, the department is also engaged in research and community outreach activities. The ultimate goal of the programme is to prepare students for professional practice in the field of social work.
