It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the world of business at the Gurugram University, Gurugram. The department of management at Gurugram University is committed to becoming an internationally acclaimed management institute with a global outlook grounded in Indian Ethos. We have set our vision on global standards of academic excellence; solution-oriented research; value based learning and inclusive education.

The recent wave of turmoil caused by the dual influences of technological disruption and the pandemic has made it imperative to overhaul the content, design and delivery of management education across the world. The current situation demands developing more resilient citizens than ever before. We at the department of management appreciate the fact that value based dispositions; strong life skills; critical inquiry-based learning approach along with technical and soft skills are essentials for our students to excel in life. The management department is the pioneer department of the Gurugram University, which undertook multiple initiatives including introducing various students’ clubs, developing new curriculum as per NEP-2020 and focuses on value based holistic development of students. We have taken progressive strides, with commendable initiatives for engagement in the holistic development of the educational environment at the department. At the department of management, we are deeply committed to not only delivering

contemporary and industry-relevant management education but also to providing an ecosystem to our students, helping them build and enhance their knowledge base, skill set, and personalities, and eventually transforming them into future-ready managers, leaders, and entrepreneurs who can make a positive and substantial impact in the world. The department has collaborated with many NGOs and industry coaches to help students learn both life as well as corporate skills.

We are proactive in our approach to the challenges of a constantly changing and dynamic global business environment, and are discovering ourselves through innovative academic programmes, course curriculum and pedagogical innovations. In order to provide cross-cultural exposure to our students and faculty, business school at Gurugram University is taking big strides to foster international collaborations with Management Institutes of repute. It is most notable to mention that the department of management has been organizing annual international conferences in collaboration with foreign universities. The department of management is the only department of the university having published peer reviewed international journals of repute. These initiatives provide platforms to students and faculty to interact with national and international level scholars and in turn create an environment for quality research.
