The Department of Education offers dynamic academic programmes that prepare future educators, researchers, and critical thinkers to meet the evolving demands of the educational landscape. With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, research, and field engagement, the Department is committed to shaping professionals who contribute meaningfully to society.

Currently, the Department offers:

  • MA in Education – A two-year, full-time postgraduate programme with English and Hindi as the mediums of instruction. The curriculum, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizes experiential learning, interdisciplinary approaches, and hands-on fieldwork. It balances professional training with liberal education perspectives, equipping students for diverse careers in teaching, educational policy, and curriculum development.
  • PhD in Education – A research-intensive doctoral programme designed for scholars aiming to advance educational theory, policy, and practice. The programme encourages interdisciplinary research, collaboration with national institutions, and field-based inquiries to address contemporary educational challenges.
