Its dedicated and experienced faculty members not only guide students academically but also mentor them in areas of personal growth, interests, and career aspirations.
    • The Hindi curriculum is thoughtfully structured to align with specific objectives, integrating subjects such as professional and communication skills, translation, personality development, research, expressive arts, journalism, creative writing, linguistics, and office Hindi. This approach ensures the overall development of students while making Hindi education employment-oriented.
    • Upon completing a postgraduate degree in Hindi, students can explore diverse and promising career opportunities in fields such as teaching, mass communication, screenplay and dialogue writing, translation, public administration, and the official language sector.
    • Our department works on the concept of 'learning process is active throughout life' and 'continuous development'. Hindi department also organizes conferences, seminars and workshops from time to time. The primary objective of the Hindi department is to delve into the depths of the knowledge tradition, to study the things that connect the past to the present and man to man, to establish human values and to try to elevate them.
    • M.A. in Sanskrit: The M.A. in Sanskrit program offers an in-depth study of classical Sanskrit literature, Vedic traditions, and Indian philosophy, equipping students with a profound understanding of ancient Indian texts and intellectual heritage. The curriculum encompasses significant works such as the Vedas, Upanishads, and the great epics—Mahabharata and Ramayana—alongside specialized studies in Sanskrit grammar, poetics, and traditional knowledge systems.
    • A postgraduate degree in Sanskrit (M.A. Sanskrit) provides students with an advanced understanding of the language, literature, philosophy, and cultural history of ancient India. This program enables students to explore the linguistic, philosophical, and scientific dimensions of Sanskrit, fostering a deep connection with India’s vast intellectual traditions.
    • The study of Sanskrit language and literature is more than just an academic pursuit; it is a means to engage with the rich Indian knowledge tradition, infused with intellectual depth and scientific consciousness. The M.A. Sanskrit program at Gurugram University’s School of Humanities has been introduced with this noble vision. Its objective is to provide students with comprehensive and specialized knowledge of Sanskrit, helping them gain expertise in Sanskrit literature, grammar, philosophy, Vedic studies, Indian culture, and civilization.
    • Beyond academic enrichment, this program allows students to connect with India's knowledge traditions, fostering an appreciation for Indian culture and life values—an essential goal aligned with the vision of NEP-2020.
    • M.A. in Hindu Studies: The M.A. in Hindu Studies offers a broad and multifaceted exploration of the profound aspects of human life and society. It delves into fundamental questions such as the impact of religion on humanity, the anthropological origins of religious thought, and the historical evolution of religious literature.
    • Hinduism is a unique and dynamic tradition that does not rely on a single philosophy, deity, or practice as its defining identity. Instead, it has evolved over millennia, embracing a rich diversity of beliefs and rituals. Its deep-rooted influence on daily life across the Indian subcontinent has led to its recognition as not just a religion but a way of life.
    • The various dimensions of Hindu Studies can be likened to branches of a vast, living tree—firmly rooted in Indian culture, thought, ritual, and spirituality. The M.A. in Hindu Studies program at Gurugram University is meticulously designed to provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary understanding of this intellectual and spiritual tradition. The curriculum integrates textual and oral traditions, verbal and visual expressions, scientific and metaphysical perspectives, as well as transcendental and functional dimensions into a cohesive framework.
