About Department

The academic branch is headed by Dr. Naveen Goyal, Deputy Registrar who has good prior experience of academics and academic administration. The Academic Branch of University handles various types of Academic matters as per University Act, University Calendars and Ordinances, which are as under:

  • To hold correspondence with statutory bodies like UGC, DHE, HSHEC, HSTES etc. in association with concerned University Teaching Departments regarding approval/recognition of existing and new courses.
  • To maintain constitution of the statutory bodies of the University i.e. University Court , Academic Council, Academic Planning Board, Board of Studies, Board of Faculties etc.
  • To maintain University Act, Statutes and Ordinances and Amendments therein, if any.
  • To convene the meeting of Academic Council, University Court, admission committee, and many other academic committees etc. and prepare/compile the agenda of the above said bodies and their follow up action.
  • To coordinate in drafting Annual Reports of the University.
  • To prepare the Information brochure, Admission Guidelines keeping in view all the UGC/Govt. Guidelines, instructions and reservation Policy.
  • To maintain the syllabi of all the programs of the University.
  • To coordinate with departments in revision and implementation of National Education Policy 2020.
  • To prepare the admission schedule, revised schedule.
  • To draft the Fee structure of various regular Programmes.
  • To notify various rules related to Fee collection, Refund Policy.
  • To prepare the draft academic calendar for consideration and circulation after approval.
  • To supply information related to academic branch under RTI act to applicants.
  • To hold the correspondence with others Universities/affiliated college on Academic matters, if required
  • To coordinate with web portal service provider for development of admission modules/process of admissions of UTD, PG programmes of Affiliated Colleges, B.Ed., M.Ed. and Ph.D. programme.
