About NCC

The National Cadet Corps 5 Haryana Battalion NCC is one of the leading NCC battalions in Haryana, actively working towards developing discipline, leadership, patriotism, and social responsibility among the youth. Headquartered in Gurugram, the battalion conducts regular training activities for cadets from schools and colleges across Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal, and nearby regions. The battalion functions under the Haryana Directorate NCC and follows the NCC motto “Unity and Discipline.”
The battalion has achieved remarkable success in various NCC activities such as Republic Day Camps (RDC), Army Attachment Camps, Annual Training Camps (ATC), and social awareness campaigns. Cadets from 5 Haryana Battalion have participated in national-level parades, adventure camps, trekking, mountaineering, and community welfare programs. The battalion has also organized cleanliness drives, tree plantation campaigns, anti-drug awareness rallies, blood donation camps, and Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations to promote national awareness and social service.
Several cadets of the battalion have represented Haryana at state and national levels, bringing pride through excellent performances in drill competitions, cultural events, firing competitions, and leadership camps. The unit continuously motivates cadets to join the Armed Forces and develop qualities such as confidence, teamwork, punctuality, and self-discipline.
For future planning, the 5 Haryana Battalion NCC aims to enhance digital training methods, increase participation in adventure and leadership programs, and strengthen community outreach activities. The battalion is planning to organize more environmental awareness campaigns, cyber awareness programs, disaster management training, and skill development workshops for cadets. Special focus is also being given to increasing girl cadet participation and preparing cadets for officer-level careers in the Defence Services. Through continuous modernization and youth engagement, the battalion aims to create responsible citizens and future leaders dedicated to nation-building.
